Bring on the Holidays...
Today, we got our first snow. It wasn't much, but the boys were as thrilled as can be. They spent most of their day in the front room playing by the tree and watching the snow fall. It always amazes me at how much joy the tree & village give to them. They play more in this room during the winter than the whole rest of the year.
Putting up the Christmas tree made for a fun weekend. Although Michael worked a lot of overtime, he was home during most of the day. We decorated the tree and house on Saturday. Today, we spent the day doing little chores. I got in a long run this morning and the rest of the day was spent just--together.

Nicholas didn't care that there was barely any snow. That child wanted OUTSIDE! He and his dog just played and played and played.
Sometimes it is hard to know who the bigger kid is....the dog or Nicholas. Regardless, they are like peanut butter and jelly.
Tonight when it got dark, we did a first....we let them go outside, alone. They loved it. And when Michael brought out the flashlights and let them loose, they were in HEAVEN! They played outside for about an hour. When they came in, they stripped down to just their underwear and spent the rest of the evening like that. They've got that Alaskan blood! After my run today, I could hardly wait to get in a hot shower and stand for a while!!!
